Write for us
Spirited Community welcomes pitches about participation, local gatherings, shared spaces and the choices groups make together. Send proposals through the Contact page; we do not promise publication or payment unless agreed in writing.
What makes a good pitch
Offer one specific subject, the question the piece will answer and the main point readers should take away. Explain why it suits Spirited Community, how you would approach it and what experience or sources inform your perspective. Keep the proposal focused rather than sending a broad list of possible topics.
What we are looking for
We favour clear, original writing that gives readers a useful way to understand a community practice or make a considered choice. Pieces may explain, compare, examine history or offer a carefully scoped account of a gathering or group process. Avoid unsupported claims, sweeping prescriptions and material that depends on professional advice or local rules.
Sending a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a working title, a short outline and a brief note about your relevant perspective. Please do not send a complete article unless we have requested one.
Participation begins before anyone arrives.
A clear invitation, a visible first step and room for different contributions can change how a gathering feels. We pay attention to these details because shared life is made of them.
